§previous_version: String

The version of the package that was replaced.

§leftover: Option<(PathBuf, String)>

Set when the replaced generation could not be deleted afterwards: where it was left, and why. It stays in its hidden transaction, which discovery ignores, marked for deletion, so recovery only ever deletes it. If even that marking failed, it is still a claimed generation, which recovery deletes while the package is installed but would put back once the package is removed, so it is best deleted by hand.
