Read the attachments array of a parsed native carrier envelope.

None means the key is absent or is not an array — a legacy carrier, since a present non-array value is a malformed envelope this runtime never writes and the conservative reading is legacy. Some means the runtime declared the position, even when the list is empty. Malformed items are skipped so one bad entry cannot demote a declared carrier to legacy.
